Pros:
Effective. Safe. Comfortable. Easy To Use.
Best Uses:
Long Term Use.
Describe Yourself:
First Responder.

I bought mine large enough that I could attach the trach, then slip it over my head. It made it so much easer than tring to fasten the trach collar with trach in place.

Great Buy Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Effective. Easy To Use.
Best Uses:
Long Term Use.

I'm using this product for 10 years now and I like it very much because it feels comfortable on the neck. I'm recommending it over other brands or styles because it helps prevent extubation during even the most severe coughing spasms.

Not what I expected!

Cons:
Non Adjustable. Poor Quality.
Describe Yourself:
Laryngectomee.

Thought this was a two piece or at least adjustable to hold in my lary tube. Product is made poorly, and way to large for me a big man to wear. Being non adjustable it is not very practicle.

Answer:
What is nice about this collar that is different that some others is that it is one piece and the velcro is inserted into the trach hole and wrapped around it. Some have the velcro that unhooks in the back and it is far less secure than this way. Not only do you have to undo the velcro then you also have to pull it out of the trach holes on the side. I highly recommend this.

Answer:
I use this posey trach coloar. (I call it my necklace) I am an adut with a trach for over a year. This is the best kind as it is: -Soft on my neck -Comes in sizes and secures thru the trach sides with velcro (very sturdy kind) -It also rinses out with water and a spot cleaner, hang it up over towel rack and is dry in hours. Saves on buying so many. Have used the same two for two months. Like this one better than hospital issue.
