Had Basil Carcinoma removed and noticed that the Plastic Surgeon used this type dressing on such wounds. I asked Dr as to source and got a blank stare, so did a Net search. The dressing allows air to get to the wound, yet adhers well. The wound healed without further surgical interference.

I have wounds due to RA and I first found this product through the Wound Care Center. Its the only tape I use now. It will fit to anywhere you want it to and stays on. Examples, toes, fingers, across your hand, elbows, you name it. And it does not come off when it gets wet. I make sure I always have plenty with me all the time even on trips.

I use it to cover my husband's bedsores. It holds the gauze sponges firmly in place. But...the sides do roll unless they are covered by another narrow tape. Left uncovered, they will adhere to anything the patient sits on and will pull the bandages off.

I was having a problem finding a tape to use for my 88 year old mother. She has sensitive skin and sometimes requires dressings for skin abrasions. Hypafix dressing tape is all that it's advertised. Easy to use with great sticking power and no skin irritation. I really like the 2" width.

The hypafix tape is affixed directly to my knees to protect skin from the harsh adhesive on the Leukotape P- the tape used to relocate my patella into its correct, centered alignment. I use this for sports, long airline flights, or anytime my patella tracking gets out of line and causes pain (rainy days, long meetings, etc).
