FABULOUS PRODUCT!

Pros:
Does not hurt skin when r. Does not hurt skin. Easy To Use. Effective. Safe.
Describe Yourself:
Patient. Parent.

All other tapes and adhesives that we have used have irritated the skin in some way, or were painful when removed and changed. This is the only adhesive that never caused pain upon removal, kept the gauze/dressing in place, and was very easy to remove.

Just what we needed. Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Gentle on delicate skin. Easy To Use. Safe.
Best Uses:
Emergency Preparedness. Keep In The Medicine Cabinet.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

We use this product to cover a gauze pad that covers a healing feeding tube opening in the abdomen. Part of it attaches to an area of skin graft, so we use this over other products because it is easy on the delicate skin but also adheres well and protects the affected area.

Best Medical Tape Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Promotes Healing. Easy To Use. Effective. Safe.
Best Uses:
Emergency Preparedness. Keep In The Medicine Cabinet. Long Term Use. Quick Fix.
Describe Yourself:
Patient. Parent. Wound Care.

We use hypafix tape with ABD/cover dressings. After trying many other tapes, this tape is the best. It's breathable, and avoids irritations of the skin, yet is strong and stays in place.

excellent for securing dressings

Pros:
Safe. Effective. Promotes Healing.
Cons:
Difficult to Use. kept having to cut strips.
Best Uses:
Long Term Use. Outdoor Activities. Quick Fix.

Have used it for 2 years on chronic non-healing wounds. Keeps my dressings in place, regardless of my activies. I hate to have to be cutting strips and having all the trash from the backing piling up, but am glad I can cut the exact size I need without wasting any. I also hate the fact that when I cut long strips, sometimes the tape will stick to itself, which in turn makes it impossible to use if I can't unstick it.

Question:
Is this tape one solid piece or does it have perforations as you remove it from the roll. The tape I use now is 4" wide and has perforations every 1 1/2" for tear off, allowing to make the tape any size I need in length.

Answer:
The tape is one solid piece and is cut to size...I very much prefer it to the perforated kind because it holds more firmly to the skin without causing skin irritation.

Answer:
Yes. It is hypoallergenic. Safe for most users though some may be irritated by the adhesive if they have sensitivity to it. Generally no problems with my patients.
