Ventilator user.
Since Kimberly Clark bought out other ISC companies they have been able to market an inferior product.
This ISC needs two adapters to fit onto my breathing tubing. This creates many opportunities for disconnects. It also means the circuit puts more torque on my trach and causes more rubbing against sensitive tissue on my throat.
A class action suit may be in order.

My wife is on a portable vent 24/7, and I am her caregiver (3yrs now). Having the swivel included is a blessing, as it keeps her omni-flex tubes from twisting and cutting off airflow. Would have given a rating of 5 if the swivels were consistent. Some swivel OK, some won't swivel at all! I keep a large supply of good ones on hand. Before using these swivels, her tubes would twist closed, sending her and the vent into panic mode. Using this ballard w/swivel and an omni-flex gives peace to her and me, the caregiver! The closed system does very well for suctioning, and the valve is easily 'lockable'. Her hospital used these ballards, and I was impressed with them then. When she was to be released, they were going to give me classes on using an open catheter and how to sanitize it after each use!! That's why I recommend these highly!
