These cannula in this size are hard to find, and most of the time, priced unreasonably high. These give the patient the ability to replace used ones as they get scratched during cleaning or damaged upon removal for cleaning. It give good peace of mind to have spares readily available when they are needed.

My husband has a tracheostomy and having the extra cannula tubes is essential. My medical supply company didn't even carry them and the cannula require constant cleaning and replacement for his health since secretions are a serious concern for COPD patients.
It eases my worries to have 20 as opposed to the 2 he came home from hospital with.
