3M Medipore H Soft Cloth Hypoallergenic Surgical Tape

The 3M Medipore H Soft Cloth Surgical Tape is the same soft, latex-free, hypoallergenic, conformable tape as standard Medipore tape, but with increased gentleness and stronger adhesion for more challenging applications. Available in perforated rolls in several sizes.
Medipore H tape is a non-woven polyester, soft, highly conformable tape. It has excellent adhesion yet is gentle to skin, reducing the risk of skin irritation. Medipore H tape is comfortable, porous and breathable. It stretches to accommodate swelling and movement. The tape is perforated so that you can tear tape off the roll by hand. It is easy to handle, with or without gloves, without curling edges, or sticking to itself. Medipore H tape is particularly useful for securing wound dressings, tubing and catheters, and repeated applications where preservation of "at risk" skin is critical.

Have used this product to secure dressings on my husband's stasis ulcer for some time. His skin is fragile and Medipore has proven to be the best way to protect it. The dressings stay secure as long as I make sure the creams or ointments we may use do not spread under the taping area.

I use the tape and soft sponges to make patches for my handicapped daughter. She is very thin and these are perfect to cushion her hips and other bony areas on her body.

I began using this product to cover Plantars Wart patches on my foot. Other tapes become bunched up or move from the area due to sweaty feet! The Medipore tape used for Surgical Sites works the best and doesn't cause long-term problems(Tearing of skin, rash, irritation) unlike using paper tape or other tapes used in the hospital.
I hope that once the pros outweigh the cons, the price will go down and the mass market will use it (or ask for it more)!! Currenlty, it is NOT available in local pharmacies/stores.
The fact that it comes in different widths will help many.
