MEPILEX Absorbent Soft-Silicone Foam Dressing
MEPILEX Absorbent Soft-Silicone Foam Dressing is a soft and highly conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. The Safetac technology prevents Mepilex from sticking to the wound bed yet adheres gently to the surrounding skin allowing easy application of secondary fixation. In addition, the Safetac layer ensures that the dressing can be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin or subjecting the patient to additional pain. Mepilex absorbs exudate effectively and ensures a low risk of maceration.

I was introduced to MEPILEX at the University Hospital in Vienna, Austria. I fell while on Christmas Vacation. I wore the MEPILEX AG home. And immediately ordered MEPILEX soft-absorbant dressing. I hurt myself often and this dressing is wonderful. Stays on for days...lets the air in and any problems stay out. I will ALWAYS have MEPILEX on hand.

It appears that no healing ointment is needed because their a tropical ointment within the form, is this correct
