Oil Emulsion Dressings are nonadhesive petrolatum dressings. They are knitted mesh fabric impregnated with a blend of mineral oil and USP white petrolatum. Oil Emulsion Dressings are the primary choice for virtually any draining wounds: skin ulcers, burn treatment, delicate plastic surgery, ER abrasions and lacerations, infected areas, suture lines, episiotomies and circumcisions. Oil Emulsion Dressings allow free drainage of exudate away from the wound. They feature a convenient peel-open, tamper-proof package. Similar to ADAPTIC™ Dressing.

I have leg wounds and this is how I was shown to care for my wound. First I wash and clean wound Place oil emulsions on wound Place gauze pads over oil emulsions and wrap with gauze rolls, make sure pressure is put on wound and elevate your legs. Do this twice a day.
