I use the stocking to supplement dressings on horses with severe leg injuries. The stocking prevents dirt and bedding material from gettting under the dressing. It also keeps flies away from the wound. I keep it handy at all times.

What would be the correct width to use on a leg. I'm getting this for my aunt to use under a walking boot. I thought 4" would be good, but I know its very stretchy and don't want it to be too loose.

I ordered the 3" which is plenty loose. I have a 9.5" ankle and 14" calf.

T MIGHT BE FINE FORTHE THIGH, BUT IS MUCH TO STRETCH FOR A LARGE MALE CALF.
