PolyMem Silver dressing is for when the healthcare provider desires to protect the dressing from microbial contamination. The easy use of PolyMem Silver, provides a warm, moist healing environment that protects and cleanses the wound and facilitates the body’s natural healing process. The particles are high purity, state-of-the-art, nanometer size for maximal surface area and effectiveness.

The continuous silver reservoir allows effective anitimicrobial release for full wear-time, reduces bioburden and will not stain the skin.The dressings consist of a polyurethane membrane matrix on a semipermeable thin film backing. This is the only silver dressing where the hydrophilic membrane contains a cleanser, a moisturizer, a superabsorbent starch copolymer, and nanocrystalline silver particles. PolyMem Silver, while protecting, draws fluids containing natural growth factors and nutrients to the wound site that promote formulation of granulation tissue and reepithelialization. PolyMem Silver’s unique design and patented formulation usually eliminates the need for manual debridement and wound bed cleansing during dressing changes.
