Sorbsan Hydrocolloidal Alginate Topical Wound Dressing


Sorbsan Topical Wound Dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad composed of fibers prepared from calcium alginate, a cellulose-like polysaccharide. The surface of Sorbsan, in immediate contact with wound exudate, forms a soft hydrocolloid gel. This gel maintains a physiologically moist microenvironment at the wound surface that is conductive to granulation tissue formation, rapid epithelialization and healing.

Sorbsan Wound Dressing is used for moderate to heavily exudating dermal and pressure ulcers. Sorbsan Wound Dressing highly absorbent with superior conformability. Sorbsan Wound Dressing is ideal for difficult-to-manage wounds.

Sorbsan should not be used on third degree burns or on individuals with a known sensitivity to alginates.

I purchased this product to help promote healing for my daughter's pilonidal wound. Since using this product, it has helped heal her wound tremendously. She has had two surgeries and has struggled for over a year to get one area of the wound to close. This product has her wound just about healed/closed.
