Product Overview

TheraHoney Gel Honey Wound Dressing

TheraHoney Gel Wound Dressing

A active Manuka gel that is ideal for wounds that are difficult to dress. Manuka honey is derived from the nectar and pollen of the Leptospermum scoparium plant in New Zealand. The honey comb is used only onced and when it is harvested the honey is carefully filtered, irradiated and tested in a lab. The high sugar levels in TheraHoney result osmotic pressure. This helps promote autolytic debridement of necrotic tissue, a moist healing environment, and helps to significantly reduce wound odor.

  • 87% sugar levels

Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:
diabetic male.

I used this product on a serious sore on my heel. Nothing seemed to help and it seemed like I'd have to go to the wound care center for treatment. The sore showed improvement after just one application! It healed completely in just a few days, and I'd been trying to get it to heal for weeks before trying the product!

I did not use it on bedsores. I used it on diabetic ulcers and it worked great. The wound was cleansed and changed every other day.

Question:
Can this product be put down into a very large open bed sore wound or just around the edges of the open wound. I have a family member that has two very large stage 4 bed wounds that are not healing. I've tried numerous products and all that the doctors have given me and nothing seems to work. The wounds are not odorous and they look relatively healthy, but they are not healing. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
