Versiva is a premium foam composite dressing that synergistically combines foam with Hydrofiber technology to reduce the common shortcomings of traditional foam dressings, namely: lack of fluid retention, high risk of maceration due to over-saturation of the wound bed, and inability to maintain an optimally moist wound environment. Aside from supporting wound healing with an optimal moisture balance, Versiva dressing is also distinctive in that, even after a maximum wear time of seven days, it is designed to remove more gently and with less trauma to the wound than other adhesive-based foam dressings.

Versiva is a great product. There is only one drawback. Because the hydrofil pad is surrounded by an adhesive edge you can not cut the pad to fit. I bought the sacral pad. It was the right shape but not the right size for my hubby's fanny. When I cut it to size, the hydrofil pad was left open with no adhesive to hold it tight to the skin. If you order the Versiva pads, be sure to order the type you can use without any cutting. The product worked wonders otherwise. If you need to cut to size, I would recommend DuraDerm pads.
