Question:
Does anyone know if this would be beneficial to use on a 4.6 year old open wound ? I have been left with a non healing continuous draining wound after using a wound vacuum system for 1 year. I have had 16 total spinal surgeries, from 1998 to 2008. Including trying skin graphing, tissue expanders and Hyperbaric therapy without success. At present all I do is clean the area with plain soap and water and change the gauze dressing every day.The wound consists of continuous draining 2 holes and a small horizontal area in between the 2 holes that connects the 2 holes across the lower spine. Any info would help. Thanks for your time

Answer:
It is PH balanced so it brings the PH of the skin to normal. I had a wound on a diabetic patient that wound not heal for 3 months and when I started using the Vashe wound cleanser the Patients wound started closing within a two weeks. I wound think you have nothing to lose in trying it. It is better than Soap and Water.

Answer:
For unhealing open wound, my dr had me saturate cloth with Vasche and lay over open wound for 30 minutes, twice daily. Then I alternated saturating large adhearing bandage one day and affixing it, next day with bacitracin. White blood cell count slightly elevated - put on antibiotic. Healed well, finally! Hope this helps.
