NOT for the bariatric user Verified Reviewer

Pros:

Cons:
Uncomfortable. Difficult to Use.
Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

This product is listed under the bariatric care category, and as already noted in so many bariatric support forums, this product does not suit their unique needs. I've been a caregiver to several morbidly obese patients for some time now, and of all those who have tried this product, all have unanimously given a thumbs down and tossed them in the garbage. To put it as delicately as possible, bariatric patients, especially the morgidly obese who truly have need of such a product as this, cannot use this because for most, it is too short to reach past the girth of the 'apron', between the inner thighs which are pressed close together by almost all normal sized toilets as well as their own body size, and get to where it needs to get to. And if they're lucky enough to actually be able to reach that far, the toilet paper has been shredded and is useless by then. I'm sure this is a very helpful product for those who have need of this and are average size or not on the higher end of the bariatric scale, but this definately should not be listed in the bariatric category.

The Ableware Toilet aid is an adequate product and fits well in a large tote pocketbook (although I did have to make my own bag to conceal it and a few other essential - a pack of tissues (for soft wiping) a travel pack of flushable wipes, ointment, lavender powder. I used the Ableware device for 10 years and still use it. The Freedom Wand has broader application because it has an extension and can be used with a net scrubby to bath with, also it can be used with a cotton ball to apply ointment.

A:
absolutely. however, I use toilet first, which flushes down the toilet, then I use the moist towelette, which I throw in the trash can.

A:
Cottonelle wipes are okay to use, just don't flush the wipes. I have used different wipes and toilet paper, all worked well with me.
