Bardex I.C. Silver-Coated Latex Foley Catheter
2-way, 30cc, Sterile

The Bardex I.C. Silver-Coated Latex Foley Catheter by Bard is proven to reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections (UTI). By utilizing a technologically-advanced combination of Bard hydrogel and Bacti-Guard silver alloy coating, the Bardex I.C. Foley catheter does reduce bacterial adherence and minimizes biofilm formation.

The occurrence of urinary tract infection is 3.7 times less in patients catheterized the Bardex I.C. Foley catheter than a standard catheter. This is due to its unique coating.

This Silver-Coated Catheter really works Verified Reviewer

Pros:
Easy Storage. Safe. Lightweight. Sturdy.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly.

I had a standard catheter in place for about a month after a nasty bladder infection. I had on hand a Bardex Silver Coated Catheter as a replacement. I woke up one morning with blood in my urine and decided it was time for a change. I did the removal of the old catheter and the insertion of the Bardex Silver. Before the day was over my urine was running clear and the infection was gone. Brovo for a great product, it really works. Two weeks later and I'm still going strong.

It all depends if you have any trouble with it. Normally I'd say a month to 6 weeks, but if there's any irritaion or burning sensation change it more often. We find this silver coated catheter to be much better than others.

Maybe, but not recommended. Inflating with much less than 30cc can result in inadvertent extraction at the worst possible time.
