Pros:
Safe. Lightweight. Easy Storage. Sturdy. Easy to use.
Best Uses:
More secure than twist. Easy for dementia patient. Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

I bought this product to replace the bag that the hospice care was providing. Their bag was flimsy, the strap holders tore out, and the twist off bottoms was difficult for my dad to use. He wouldn't always get it closed tight. This Bard bag is heavier plastic, the flip flo valve is simple to use and get closed tight, the bag doesn't tear out like the others do. Just a much better and easier bag to use all around

Sturdy, easy to use Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy.
Best Uses:
Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

My father has an indwelling catheter. We use this for his day bag. The flip flo valve is much easier for him to use when emptying the bag than twist valve styles. We clean and reuse these bags and find them to hold up well.

Flip-Flo Valve is a Very Good Thing Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe.
Best Uses:
Travel.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

The Flip-Flo feature prevents accidental urine spills, thus also preventing possible embarassment for the user. It allows more control when the caregiver empties the bag, also. We use alcohol BEFORE opening, and before closing, the valve as the extra little steps to discourage UTIs. The bags can also be bleached and reused.

Question:
Why can't there be an extension to the leg bag for nighttime use, since it gives no problems, by connecting a tube and bag to the outlet of the leg bag?It would eliminate all the hassle of detaching and attaching the upper connections.

Answer:
I purchase, from the hardware store, 1/4 inch diameter surgical tubing to attach to the outlet. Make it long enough extend down the leg. Fold it several times & secure with a rubber band to hide. I have help from my husband so this is very convenient.
