Product Overview:

Male Intermittent Catheter - Coude Tip

The Cure Medical Coude Tip Intermittent Catheter is a high quality DEHP and latex free product that always has fire polished eyelets. These sterile, single use catheters feature polished eyelets, tip options, and funnel ends for males and females.

Cure Medical Is The Only Manufacturer To Offer:

  • 100% DEHP Free products, as a known carcinogen, DEHP should not be in medical devices. At Craig Rehab in Denver they found that I.C. users were 100 times more likely to develop bladder cancer. People with a higher risk of cancers should avoid carcinogens.
  • 100% latex free! A latex allergy can change a life forever, no more elastic in clothing, no rubber bands. Latex free catheters are a must have.
  • 100% fire polished eyelets on all products, all the time. Fire polished eyelets are smooth and less irritating. Other brands have cold punched eyelets that can cause abrasions. Cure medical believes in nothing less then the best for you.
  • Cure Medical gives 10% back to find a cure for spinal cord injury; it is time for manufacturers to step up. There are many ideas to find a cure, but without funding, nothing will ever happen.

Pros:
Safe. Easy Storage. Lightweight. Sturdy.

I use this cath for dilation of stricture disease. It is rigid enough for easy insertion, yet very comfortable. Works great in reducing UTI's. Haven't had one since my DVIU.

A:
Yes, they firm enough to do the job, but MOST importantly is the eyelets on this brand is superior and just slides in smoothly without scratching the urethra. I've used the others and my doctor provides for free the Coloplast units, those really hurt! Cure is what I order and pay for using my own money, I think that says it all. 15 months of use and just had 2 TURP's, and the others were a bear to use.

Q:

A:
The tip of the coude catheter has a slight bend in the end to help it work its way through the anatomy into the bladder. Straight Tip catheters are usually cheaper and do the job for most.
