catheter inserion.

I use this product to lubricate the catheter before insertion. The flip cap is convenient. The product is just a little too runny.

Yes, the surgical lubricate is water-based not petroleum-based. You never want to use an oil- based lubricate only water-based.

Warning: Yes, Surgilube is indeed slippery, but it contains an antibacterial chemical to which many people are allergic. It is made for specific medical purposes. For intimacy, better to use a lubricant without additives like McKessons or a lubricant sold for intimate uses.

This bacteriostatic prevents the multiplying of bacteria with out destorying them. most internal bacteria are good and needed for normal function of the internal body. choose the right lube for the right use.

You can purchase individual tubes, but it is more expensive per tube. The product doesn't go bad, so I don't worry about shelf-life.
