Product Overview:

Urofoam Adhesive Foam Strips

AllegroMedical.com presents The Urofoam Adhesive Foam Strips. Urofoam double or single-sided adhesive foam strips are soft, pliable foam strips specifically designed for the unique bonding applications of male external catheters to the skin and are suitable for use with both standard and self- adhering type catheters.

They provide a comfortable, air-tight seal that is an effective way to secure a male external catheter to the body. They are easy to apply and remove so when it comes time to change that catheter, it can be changed easily and quickly.

It is recommended that a male external catheter be changed once a day to promote healthy skin, however, with the use or Urofoam strips, a male external catheter can be held in place for up to three days—results may vary, but it's nice to know that when you need to depend on an adhesive strip, you can depend on Urofoam.

  • Ensolite Foam—Hypo-Allergenic
  • Closed-Cell Foam Structure—for an air-tight seal.
  • Soft and Pliable—Easily conforms to irregular contours of the body.
  • Urine, Water & Perspiration resistant—It retains it's adhesive qualities even under water.
  • Easy to apply and Remove—Just peel 'n' Stick to apply, peel back to remove.

Foam strips work fine.
Best Uses:
For External Caths.

Foam strips work just fine for holding on External Caths. Good product. You can also cut them into TWO pieces if you want to save money.

Works great...no leaks or slippage now!

strong adhesive.
Best Uses:
with adhesive condom cath.
Describe Yourself:
Paraplegic. active and in wheelchair.

I always had problems with adhesive condom catheters. Being active, they had a tendency to leak or get pulled off getting into cars etc. The foam wrap condom caths were better, but they do cause skin problems from trying to wrap too tight so they will stay on (I'm a paraplegic with very limited feeling below the waist). Picked these up on Allegro to see if they would work with the Conveen condom caths I've been getting and they work GREAT! I actually find that it's easier to cut one in half long ways, so there is a thin strip of adhesive to apply towards the base of the shaft of your penis, then slilp the condom cath with adhesive and the seal is perfect...no leaks or slip offs. And best of all, no skin irritation.

I take care of a man that retracks very badly and I use self adhesives external catheters. can I use the strips to help hold the catheters in place. I have used just about every kind of catheter out there on him and the only way they will stay on is with elastic tape, but worry about it hurting him. Do you think the strips would help hold them in place all day?

Hello, This is a difficult problem to deal with. I have never had success with the Adhesive Foam Strips alone. I use the Perma Type Adhesive and a single sided foam strip to go on the outside of cath. The daily urine flow will loosen any foam strips pretty quick, and leave you having to change it. VanL

I have the same retraction problem. For 15 years I've been using an external catheter and Urofoam adhesive foam strips. The adhesive strip is placed half on the external catheter and half on my skin. I have had leaks but the majority of the time no problems.
