Quality construction!!!!!!! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Well Constructed.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly.

At 6'5" thesew crutches are too short for me to feel safe using them. I realize you rate them good for 6'6", hoewever, maybe I'm not "standard" issue in arm and/or body length. Very good design and qualty manufacturing.

Great, Except for the Cuffs

Pros:
cuffs fit big arms. Stores Easily. Easy To Use. Supports Weight. Lightweight. Safe. Well Constructed. Comfortable.
Cons:
cuffs poorly constructed. cuffs poorly constructed.
Best Uses:
Wet Weather. Short Distances. Outdoors. Indoors. Long Distances. After A Workout. Everyday.
Describe Yourself:
Long Term User. Regular exerciser.

Generally, I consider Guardian Adult Forearm Crutches to be the best product of their kind on the market. As I referenced above, I also own a pair of Ortho-Med Adult Forearm Crutches as a backup pair. I take my crutches walking, hiking, and even swimming. I walk between two and three miles for exercise three to six times per week. I have a can-do, go-anywhere, do-anything (or at least, TRY-anything) spirit. While I do wonder how the Ortho-Meds would hold up under long-term heavy use (as compared to the Guardians, which hold up well), the one advantage of the Ortho-Meds over the Guardians is the quality of the cuffs and the way they are attached to the shaft: Guardian cuffs are attached to a separate piece which is then inserted into the top of the shaft, while Ortho-Med cuffs are attached directly to the shaft. Inexplicably, the piece to which the cuff is attached and which goes into the top of the shaft, unlike the rest of the crutch, is made of relatively cheap plastic. Invariably, when my Guardians have reached the limit of the abuse I inflict upon them, it is this piece which breaks.

It great being able to get around the house without my leg on and not have to use my wheel chair. I keep them right beside my bed incase I have to leave the house fast in an emergency.

Answer:
Just curious here, I have used the exact crutch now for over 5 years..And I am not gentle with them by any means, just actually replaced the original tips a few days ago...What exactly is your specific failure?
