Handicapped. Elderly.

If you have used typical "grabbers" you'll find first use of this product a little awkward. Usually the rearmost handles on these devices are stationary. With this grabber, the grasping motion is achieved by grasping using your thumb. You must squeeze the rearmost handle to grab something. This is not how the human hand works, especially if you're limited by any number of problems. ---Like age. The rearmost movable handle is not solid, just a thin 'u' shaped plastic that may not hold up to stress. There are no holes or hook attachment points, so storing it might be problematic. It isn't expensive, that's its main value.

Best Reacher I've owned

Pros:
Lightweight. Sturdy.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery.
Describe Yourself:
Post-op patient. BACK PROBLEMS.

I have four different kinds of Reachers, and this one is the best I've found for everyday household use. It will pick up just about anything that's not too heavy that the others can't get. That includes small scraps of paper dropped on the floor, items of clothing, and even small containers of food from the pantry.

Had to return this as my daughters hands are too small to grasp the handle. (She is very tiny and has very small hands).
