ONLY lancet I've used for 12 years....

Pros:
Easy To Use.
Best Uses:
Daily Use. Adults.
Describe Yourself:
Type II.

I've been a physician for 33 yrs & was diagnosed w/ T2DM 12+ yrs ago. As an M.D., I'd performed 100's of finger sticks on patients over the yrs, but when it came to me, after doing about 5 extremely painful blood sugar checks with a traditional one-use lancet, I went directly to my local pharmacist & she recommended this product. I've NEVER had to stick my fingers again for the approx 10 blood sugar tests I do every 24 hrs. My T2DM is part of the Metabolic Syndrome from which I was diagnosed--a complication of Stage 4 Endometriosis and it causes extreme insulin sensitivity. This can make one's blood sugar extremely labile (goes up and down frequently). Not only is my pain level MUCH LESS w/ this product, BUT I'm easily able to stick my palms at very flexible angles. When I initially started using my palms w/ this device, I was concerned (& curious) that my palm from where I was getting my capillary blood might not be as accurate as a finger sample. Although this lancing device is larger than most, it hurts much less. I test 3-4 times a day, so I run out of fingers fast. Being able to test on other parts of the body is a plus.

If one has to do multiple lances daily, this is the way to go. Each Multiclix lancet--there are six in the cartridge--lasts me two days. I don't have to go through the step of loading lancets one at a time each time I test my glucose.
