This pad is soft and silky, but it in no way whatsoever resembles sheepskin; it lacks the tufted texture necessary to provide air space ventilation under the body. If you need synthetic sheepskin, try "unreal lambskin" from [@] (item ALP201) or elsewhere. It costs about the same as this product, but is far more like real sheepskin.

Pros:
Good Value.
Lightweight.
Effective.
Cons:
Not sheepskin.
Best Uses:
Bed.
Daily Use.
Quadriplegic with a pressure sore on hip looking for a little extra comfort and pressure relief when laying in bed. Obviously not as soft as true animal sheepskin. But it has some loft and it's soft enough yet dense. The 30x40 covers a good area from knees to shoulder. Good value, I'm not concerned if it's damaged from spills or accidents. The backing is textured rough so it doesn't shift too much when re-positioning. Good as well if one has real fur allergies. Overall, a nice find and a great price.
