Great for Rotator Cuff Rehab Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy.
Cons:
Bulky. Heavy.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery.
Describe Yourself:
Athletic.

I've had rotator-cuff repair surgery on both shoulders, one in '08 and the other in '09. I used the 11x14 ColPacs for the first surgery and used the 11x21 ColPacs in '09. I liked the larger ColPacs to go over the top of my shoulders with about 6" going down my back and 6" onto my chest. This was more stable that the 11x14s, which required frequent adjustment. Only downside is the weight of the 11x21, which limited the amount of time I could comfortably keep it on my shoulder when sitting up. So I used the 11x21 when laying on my back and sometimes used the 11x14 when sitting up. I sometimes used a zip-up fleece vest over the ColPacs to keep them in place; I also had a compression band that I occasionally wrapped around the ColPacs and then below my opposite shoulder around my torso. My reduction in swelling and range of motion limitation was significant, at least partially attributable to the effectiveness of ColPacs.

Pros:
Sturdy.
Cons:
Heavy.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly.

I use this product mainly for my lower lumbar spine which is basically gone because of Degenerative Disc Disease, which has caused Arthritus to form along my spine. During usage-better than pain killers.

Best ice pack to be found!

Pros:
Sturdy. Safe. Easy Storage. Maintains cold. Lg enough to cover back. Durable. Multiple sizes & shapes.
Cons:
Heavy.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery. Elderly. Back injury/spasms.
Describe Yourself:
Back surgery/injury .

Over the past 14 years I have dealt with multiple level disc damage and severe back spasms. My first couple of ColPaCs lasted nearly 10 years. Absolutely the best out there! And I've tried lots of packs. Blue are more durable than black. Gave the ones I got a couple years ago to my son when he blew a couple discs so just replaced them. Choice in size and shape is great. By far the best I've found, though a little pricey. You get what you pay for, though. Worth the extra cost. Big one too heavy for travel, though wonderful at home. Even frozen molds to body. Great post-op! Highly recommend!

Best money spent!

Pros:
Sturdy. Safe. Easy Storage.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

I bought this same product several years ago for my back. Six weeks ago I had a knee replacement. After my therapy session I have to ice down my knee. I use my previous cool pak and I wanted another one for a better ice pack session. I love this product because you get no cold burn and it is very flexable, not stiff. It stays cold for the time I need it to be. I love this product and very glad to now own two!

Cons:
Bulky. Heavy.
Describe Yourself:

I can't lift as I I have a broken elbow, Ive called 3 times to retun and they keep saying i'll get a label, but so far none. Yet, everyday, I get at least one to two e-mails to sell me stuff. I'm sure they are good products.
