I bought two of these after my hip surgery as I could not bend down. what a life saver. this is the greatest. I just hooked it on the waist of my slacks and pulled the waist up till I could reach it. I would recommend this highly

Yes, the dressing stick can be used to help your mother pull up the back of her pants. I recommend you have in-home physical therapy to teach her how to use the stick for that purpose. The home therapy should be covered by Medicare.
