The Dressing stick is for my husband.. who has muscle and nerve diseases.. He loves it!! doesn't wanna be w/o it. I order 2 at a time to keep him happy. Of course it is breakable and bendable... It has to be made light for a true handicapped person to utilize it. Steel or cast iron could NOT be handled by the physically challenged. But the price is so reasonable you can order a dozen if needed!!!! THANKS Allegro Medical for a great product.

Yes, the dressing stick can be used to help your mother pull up the back of her pants. I recommend you have in-home physical therapy to teach her how to use the stick for that purpose. The home therapy should be covered by Medicare.
