Nutrition Support for Patients with Renal Failure. Those with acute renal failure have very unique nutritional needs. RENALCAL^® is high in calories and has a special blend of amino acids, vitamins, and minerals for those with impaired renal function.

This high calorie, low protein, reduced electrolyte formula provides the nutrients required to support patients with acute renal failure. Equally important is what RENALCAL^® does not provide: sodium, potassium, phosphorus or fat soluble vitamins. Four servings delivers 100% of the RDI for 9 water-soluble vitamins and a special blend of L-amino acids to help maintain nitrogen balance and manage uremic symptoms. Intended for use as a tube feeding in the short term.
