My husband needs this beside toilet in a rental cottage. Would this be possible without putting marks on the floor and ceiling? Could it totally lift his weight of 225 lbs? I asked this question a couple of years ago, but nobody answered it.

I have two poles. One by my bed with a nine foot ceiling and one next to the toilet wuth and eight foot ceiling, both ceilings are level. I have had them both installed for three months. They are very stationary once placed and easy to reposition. When we repositioned after a month, they left no marks on the ceiling. They could EASILY support a 225# man.

Yes, I have one installed in bathroom for my 225 husband and it holds him. We have high ceiling (about 9ft) and it wobbles but that is expected. Every so often I try to re-tighten the bolt just in case but it seems to hold its firmness

I now have two of these poles, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom and they are great. we had to move the one in the bedroom and there is no mark from where it was before. it has supported my weight totally and at one time i was about 170 pounds so i think it should be okay for your hubby.

Be Careful. I would not try that. Grab baars installed on the sides seem safer.

No screws to floor or ceiling. Uses tension.

I found the answer above. It can either be tension mounted and comes with its own wrench or permanently installed with the included wood screws. Thank you.
