The CDC has advised that once you are fully vaccinated you can gather indoors with other fully vaccinated people without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart. You don't have to live in an assisted living facility or retirement community to start or join a Senior Group Exercise Class. If your friends have been fully vaccinated try something different than joining a large exercise class. Create your own Micro Senior Group Exercise Class with 3-5 group members. You can take turns hosting the Micro Group Exercise Class and turn it into a social engagement that focuses on health and wellness.

2016 is a new year for resolutions and for many that #1 resolution is to get in shape. Pairing with that resolution usually is a membership to one’s local fitness center. According to statista.com, 2014 had over 54.1 million memberships at fitness centers/ health clubs up from 32.8 million back in 2000 (1). This means that over 17% of the US population is currently enrolled in a fitness center. Now enrolling is the easy part, the hard part is actually attending and making the most of it. -

Almost everyone experiences back pain at some time in their lives. For me, and I suspect for most, back pain is surprisingly debilitating and ridiculously persistent. The good news is there are products to help manage back pain or even eliminate it all together.

Back pain relief is tricky. First there is the business of reducing or eliminating the back pain. Then there are products to prevent the pain from coming back, and if all else fails there are aids to make daily life less painful for those living with chronic back pain.

The 2010 Winter Olympics start on February 12th and we are sure to see plenty of spills and thrills. And though slips and falls are commonplace in the arena or on the slopes, they shouldn't happen at home.
