The drainable ostomy bag, how often does it need changing? Are they reusable? how is it that they come in box of 10, how many days is it good for? i have a mom who had a surgery and I need to bag her reusable bags to save money. Thanks.

I usually change my bag when I change my shield, unless I have had really stinky stools - then I will change it sooner because after a while the odor permeates the plastic. You can also rinse or wash them out and reuse them. Generally you should be able to use the same one for at least 3-4 days, longer if you wash it out.

I change the whole thing once a week but replace just the bag after about 3 days. Cannot imagine that they would be reusable! I think that is why they come in box of 10...once a week total change and one for in between.

I'm a man who has been ostomised the last October 11, and I'm testing a types of ileostomy bag's and barrier's as (coloplast) searching on the web differences manufacturers and/or suppliers and i found you name and find interesting the products you offer.
I want by the present matter to be informed on certain points as:
1--- Where are you located
2--- What products you manufacture
and sells.(catalog )
3--- Do you sell in Canada

I have had no trouble with leakage as long as I squeeze hard on the hook and eye closure to make sure it's really sealed. I have tried the clip-type bags and I don't think they are easier to clean. Also I find the lock n roll closure more comfortable to wear.
