Description
A gait (or transfer) belt can be used to assist a patient during a transfer, while allowing the caregiver to have a safe and sturdy grip. It can be used as a standard gait belt, around the patient’s chest for lifting, or around the patient’s waist for transferring with a Beasy transfer board. Gait belts may also be used around the caregivers waist, so patients have a place to grip onto when they are being assisted.
Unlike classic gait belts, our premium padded gait belts give extra support and comfort for patients, while caregivers ambulate or assist transfers. Its ½” thick padding is more sensitive to skin and tender areas. Transferring a patient with a strong proper hold can help the caregiver avoid back and leg injuries. Each belt comes with horizontal hand grips, and a 2” fast open/close clip buckle, to accommodate added security while safely guiding, assisting or transferring patients.
