Questions:
can this cup be taken off easily because I I have a folding chair when I close the chair it goes up to the arm rest,so the cup holder would prevent that from happening unless it is easily removed. is it easily remove and easy to put back on?

Unlikely. The cup assembly requires attachment to a vertical support with a plastic "U shaped section," that will be difficult to remove. The cup holder can be taken off by removing the knob and hex head bolt, but with difficulty. Potentially the 12 point recessed star can be damaged in the process.

The question does not describe what part of the cup holder is rotating. There are three possibilities. If the cup is rotating on the vertical tube of the chair arm the rubber insert (part B) may be missing or the diameter of the upright tubing is smaller than the design standard. If the rubber insert was not installed and is available, the try installing the insert per directions.
If the cup is rotating on the vertical chair arm support, the most probable cause the cup holder is incorrectly mounted to the âU shaped section.â (part A) Check to make sure the hex head bolt is inserted into the cup holder. The bold head should be flush with the inside wall of the cup. Note the aluminum insert in the cup holder has a hex head on the outside of the cup holder. One side of the U shaped section is flat and the other has a recessed 12 point star. Be sure recessed star is mounted securely to the hex head insert in the swivel cup holder, in the desired position. Be careful it is easy to flatten the point of the star. After the U shaped section is installed on the vertical tube of the chair arm, I discovered it is easier to mount the swivel cup holder to the U shaped section, in the desired position, then insert the bolt through the U shaped section and attach the knob provided. Note: It may take some pressure to press the bolt through the outside part of the U shaped section and to properly seat the hex head of the bold. Note: If the recessed 12 point star of the U shaped section is stripped a new part will be needed. Suggest contacting the vendor or the manufacturer.

IT WILL FIT ANY WHEELCHAIR OR SCOOTER THAT HAS A 3/4IN BAR OR ROD ON IT ANYWHERE. A 7/8TH IN BAR IS JUST A BIT MUCH FOR THE HOLDER UNLESS YOU USE A LONGER BOLT..

We had to use JB weld and glued it to keep it from rotating. We tried using everything that was sent with it and this was what we ended up doing. Working well.
