LoFric Male Hydrophilic Intermittent Catheter - 16"

LoFric® is our original low-friction catheter. It is an all-purpose catheter that is ideal for both busy hospitals and for patient use at home. LoFric® requires clean water for activation of the Urotonic™ Surface Technology low-friction coating on the tubing. Available in sizes for men, women and children.

LoFric® catheters are single-use hydrophilic urinary catheters. Once used, the unique surface coating will deteriorate and the catheter will no longer be sterile. The hydrophilic coating on the catheter consists of PVP (polyvinylpyrrolidone) and sodium chloride, which reduce urethral friction. They are used to empty the bladder of urine, occasionally and intermittently, at home or in a hospital. Not made with natural rubber latex

1: Open the pack carefully. Pull the tabs open about 2 inches. Pour water directly into the pack. Use sterile water only as directed by your healthcare provider

2: Remove the blue tab on the back and attach the packaging to a sink or other convenient, dry surface

3: Let the catheter soak for 30 seconds. The catheter is then ready to be used.

Material Composition:The new LoFric catheter material is a so called polyolefin-based elastomer (=POBE) that is naturally free from PVC, softeners and latex. The new POBE material has been thoroughly evaluated with excellent results in terms of environmental impact and user appreciation. The catheter is still coated with Urotonic™ Surface Technology to minimize friction both at insertion and withdrawal, because comfort and safety are always our number one priority.
