Questions:
Please help - am doing sub-q for the first time in years, and am having trouble changing needles - how do you get the old needle off (and preferably without poking your finger as I just did lol)... thanks!!

Keep the clear plastic cover on the needle.
Grip the very bottom edge of the needle only (usually the green plastic) with your thumb and forefinger. Make sure you are not touching the base of the plastic cover. Holding tightly, slowly work it gently, back & forth with your fingers, off of the end of the IV tubing or syringe.

When the cover is back on needle, hold cover and twist the syringe to the left. Comes right off. Just dont pull on the needle. Twisting is all you need to do. Good luck.

twist whatever tip is in the syringe off.keep it sterile then twist on the tip you want. 18g seems over kll

I had that problem too. I finally used a small wrench to hold the plastic bottom of the needle while I twisted the needle. It comes right off. Good luck.
