Questions:
I take care of a man that retracks very badly and I use self adhesives external catheters. can I use the strips to help hold the catheters in place. I have used just about every kind of catheter out there on him and the only way they will stay on is with elastic tape, but worry about it hurting him. Do you think the strips would help hold them in place all day?

I have the same retraction problem. For 15 years I've been using an external catheter and Urofoam adhesive foam strips. The adhesive strip is placed half on the external catheter and half on my skin. I have had leaks but the majority of the time no problems.

Yes, i've been using them for a few months with no problems and they last all day.
Hello,
This is a difficult problem to deal with. I have never had success with the Adhesive Foam Strips alone. I use the Perma Type Adhesive and a single sided foam strip to go on the outside of cath. The daily urine flow will loosen any foam strips pretty quick, and leave you having to change it.
