If cpap not necessarily but i would. If Bipap or NPPV then i would regardless. Cheap to protect your clients from VRP (Vent related Pneumonia).

I would think it would be mandatory to change the filter for each patient. A patient breathing through this filter probably has an excellent chance to inhale bacteria that was exhaled by a previous patient. Some bacteria can live outside the body for hours and days.

Hoses and filters should be individually assigned to each patient. This eliminates the chance of transferring respiratory infections.
