Questions:
what is MENS @ TENS? is one BETTER than the other?

Question By: reb on Nov 30 -0001 12:00 AM
This question needs to be answered by a physical therapist based on treatment needs for a particular person. Some definitions can be found in a Google search. One for example is http://www.medi-stim.com/overview.html. When I received my Micro-plus electrical stimulator, I called the manufacturer because I did not feel the stimulation, but the machine seemed to be working. The manufacturer told me that this unit works by sensations below the level that can be felt and that it requires a prescription; however, I found many places where it can be purchased with no prescription. I would also like to know more about the product and the difference between MENS and TENS, but my physician cleared it for my use. The machine gives comfort after about five minutes, though the electrical stimulation can't be felt.

I bought this unit to speed my recovery from wrist surgery. Put black lead below joint or affected area and the red lead above the area. ATP production is greatly increased so cell repair is hastened. When you use it remember to drink a lot of water! Very important. Check with your healthcare professional for the proper settings.

Question By: Marianne on Nov 30 -0001 12:00 AM
the Plus has the polarity sites that make it useable for Mens work and Tens work and the micro ll is just tens. I bought the micro ll first but didn't realize it was only for stopping pain and moved to the other when I was told it can do the healing as well as pain. And the healing is what I was after.......

Question By: Chris on Nov 30 -0001 12:00 AM
the alpha stim unit is the only one cleared by the FDA for cranial application. if the machine has the same output (frequency, current, etc) the effect should be the same. I don't know the exact figures for the alpha stim though. try at your own risk
