The Bardex I.C. Silver-Coated Latex Foley Catheter by Bard is proven to reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections (UTI). By utilizing a technologically-advanced combination of Bard hydrogel and Bacti-Guard silver alloy coating, the Bardex I.C. Foley catheter does reduce bacterial adherence and minimizes biofilm formation.
The occurrence of urinary tract infection is 3.7 times less in patients catheterized the Bardex I.C. Foley catheter than a standard catheter. This is due to its unique coating.
