NCM Spectrum features a unique balance of new and traditional properties that results in a more responsive splinting material. Moderate resistance to stretch. When purposely stretched, NCM Spectrum thins evenly. NCM Spectrum has a moderate degree of drape. With gentle handling, NCM Spectrum(tm) conforms closely around small contours for an optimal fit. NCM Spectrum has moderate memory. Splints can be reheated repeatedly without thinning. Even after it has been stretched to make a circumferential splint, NCM Spectrum will regain nearly half its original size and thickness when reheated. Molded splints retain moderate flexibility. If stretched to make a circumferential splint, NCM Spectrum has sufficient flexibility to make donning and doffing easy while still retaining sufficient strength for immobilization. Removable coating prevents accidental bonding. Unique smooth and silky finish resists fingerprinting.
