The top layer is a soft quilted material that wicks away moisture for increased patient comfort. The middle is a soaker layer that absorbs up to double its weight in liquid. The bottom layer is 100% waterproof to protect bed linens and the mattress. There are also nylon handles on each side to assist the caregiver in turning, boosting and repositioning the patient.
