What are all those dogs doing on a medical website? They're not rescue dogs, or guide dogs or even therapeutic visitation dogs. They're OUR dogs, all of them... the dogs of Allegro.

Let’s face it – visiting our loved ones for the holidays should be a highlight of the year. We should be overjoyed with homecoming cheer, embraces with loved ones we don’t get to see as often as we would like, and of course gather for dinner and other celebrations. Unfortunately, before you get there you have to go through the arduous task known as “holiday travel”. The roads and highways are jammed making it feel like you are in an endless parking lot. Don’t even want to think about the lines at the airport! The frustrating part of the holidays should be who got the last of the cranberry sauce, not the effort it takes to get to where you’re going! So, we can probably all agree that holidays are awesome, but holiday travel stinks.

Do you know someone with diabetes? Chances are, with an estimated 20.8 million diabetics (that’s 7% of the population) in the U.S., someone close to you is afflicted with the disease. With that many Americans affected and another 54 million people at risk, it is important that we are all aware of the causes and effects of diabetes, and what we can do to prevent the disease. American Diabetes Month was created to raise awareness of the disease itself, and of the importance of proper diabetes care. Here is some information on diabetes. For more, go to "http://www.diabetes.org", home of the American Diabetes Association.

Catheters come in various sizes, types and materials, and can be for short or long term (indwelling) use.

Hello, my name is David Williams and I am the director of Product Management for Allegro Medical. Breast Cancer Awareness Month has a profound meaning for me personally this year as the person that means the most to me in the world was diagnosed with breast cancer in August. We are very fortunate in that this was detected very early during a routine mammogram. The particular type of cancer that she has is undetectable in a self evaluation and could have gone unnoticed for a long time. We are also very grateful that the prognosis for successful treatment is very good because of the type of cancer and the level and stage that it is at.
